Our immune system is constantly interacting with environment adjusting its functions to protect integrity of the “inside”. It is constantly checking “self” vs “not-self”. What is “not-self” is the enemy. A healthy immune system adapts easily to challenges coming from environment through body barriers – skin, lungs and intestines – weather it is viruses, bacteria, fungi, toxic metals, toxic foods, toxic fumes or something else. Level of strain at which the immune system operates may be very high depending on current and previous exposure to toxic factors. Different toxic factors added to each other produce cumulative toxic effect limiting immune system’s capacity to efficiently eliminate “not-self” (viruses, bacteria, molds, cancerous cells).
For example, once introduced into the body heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenicum and other) stay in tissues indefinitely suppressing intracellular energy production. Consumption of foods that the person is sensitive to causes production of antibodies, activation of macrophages and chronic inflammation in “sensitive” organs. It strains the immune system, and leads eventually to autoimmune diseases (Hashimoto thyroiditis, Multiple Sclerosis, fatty liver, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.). Environmental allergies to pollens, molds, dust, pets strain the immune system further. At some point the immune system becomes overwhelmed, and is unable to efficiently perform routine day-to-day operations – detecting and eliminating “not-self” – microbes and cancerous cells.
I identify which foods patients are sensitive to and remove them from their diets, identify and treat allergies, and remove toxic metals with chelation therapy. This broad approach allows me to significantly reduce exposure to toxic factors, and subsequently leads to recovery. Most patients notice a decrease in their level of cholesterol, blood sugar and body weight.
